Hyperspace Bridger

As a mercenary pilot contracted by the Inter-Galactic Commonwealth, your primary objective is to secure a safe hyperspace trade route through a newly-discovered wormhole. Survival is secondary. Bad news is, this wormhole is already inhabited— by a bunch of space goons who aren't too keen on the IGC encroaching on their turf— and now you're the one who has to deal with 'em.

Choose from a variety of weapons, ship bodies, and unique pilot abilities to build hyperspace bridges through safe pockets of space in the wormhole. As soon as you start building, you'll be detected and quickly swarmed by enemies, so make sure to defend yourself until the bridge can be built. Enemies and environmental hazards drop valuable Resources, which you'll need to build more paths through hyperspace and occasionally repair your ship. Only paths forward will progress through the wormhole, but side paths can offer valuable rewards.

Your weapons heat up as they fire, and need to cool down every so often. Letting them get too hot will cause an Overheat, and they won't be able to fire again until they cool off completely. Some weapons fire automatically, while others only fire once every time you click.

Every pilot has a unique ability. Some activate once when you right-click, and others stay active as long as you hold the button down. You'll regain ability charge by hitting enemies, so don't be afraid to use them often!

This game was made in about 5 days. It was very ambitious— some would say too ambitious. There will be bugs. My sound manager in particular caused some problems with looping music, so don't mind it too much. If you get a crash or find a bug, report it! I'll probably work on this some more after the jam is over, so I'll make sure to iron those out.

- 27 Feb. 2026: Post-jam update! I added several new ship parts, including new weapons, wings, and pilot abilities. I also added a bunch of buffs, fixed MANY bugs, and added a whole lot of quality-of-life features!
